The organization evolved through several formative stages, originating as a student partnership before scaling into an incorporated enterprise.

Phase 1: Cosmic Aura Tech Industry (CATI)

On 15 October 2024, computer science undergraduates Shikhar Dixit and Swatantra Singh developed an operational Face Recognition System in under seven hours for a college event at Axis College, Kanpur. Inspired by their execution capability, they founded Cosmic Aura Tech Industry (CATI) alongside peer Nishkarsh Mishra.

Phase 2: IIT Bombay E-Summit & Strategic Validation

Between 28 January and 4 February 2025, the founders traveled to Mumbai to participate in the IIT Bombay E-Summit. The exposure to venture investors, angel syndicates, and student founders provided vital validation that consumer tech and proprietary software products could be built outside conventional metropolitan tech hubs.

Phase 3: Sand Tank Office & The 'Sinister Six'

In February 2026, the college administration officially allocated a dedicated workspace in the campus Sand Tank area to CATI. The team expanded to include six core contributors affectionately known as the 'Sinister Six' — Shikhar Dixit, Swatantra Singh, Nishkarsh Mishra, Sheelu Singh, Mridul Mishra, and Siddhant Shekhar.

Phase 4: Coining the 'DIMISI' Name

During an academic examination session in Room 107 of the college Block, founder Shikhar Dixit constructed the permanent corporate brand name using the first syllables of the founding directors' surnames: DI (Dixit) + MI (Mishra) + SI (Singh) = DIMISI.

Phase 5: Formal MCA Incorporation & Client Expansion

On 9 April 2026, DIMISI Technologies Private Limited received its Certificate of Incorporation from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs with registered office at MIG 3/131, Swarn Jayanti Vihar, Koyala Nagar, Kanpur. Shortly thereafter, the company closed its first commercial IT enterprise deals, establishing verified revenue streams across custom software engineering and digital transformation.
