The Founding Brotherhood: Shikhar Dixit, Nishkarsh Mishra & Swatantra Singh

At the core of DIMISI Technologies Private Limited stands a foundational brotherhood forged during undergraduate engineering years at Axis College, Kanpur. The company's very name is an acronym derived from the syllables of its three founding directors: DI (Shikhar Dixit), MI (Nishkarsh Mishra), and SI (Swatantra Singh). This is the documented narrative of their journey from student hackathons to registered startup leadership.

Swatantra is the kind of brother who would jump into a well if I were jumping in. Nishkarsh is the grounding realist who ensures every vision has practical execution. Together with our partners, juniors, and families, we built DIMISI.

15 October 2024: The Six-Hour Sprint & The Spark of CATI

The partnership began on 15 October 2024. Shikhar Dixit and Swatantra Singh, both pursuing their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering at Axis College, Kanpur, gathered at Shikhar's home to develop an urgent Face Recognition System to present at Axis College's Gandhigiri technical project presentation event.

Working continuously at home for six to seven hours, the duo completed and validated a fully operational AI face recognition pipeline. Around 8:30 PM, after successful testing, Shikhar proposed a defining question: If they could architect and deploy complex systems at home in a single sprint, why shouldn't they launch their own software and technology company? Swatantra agreed immediately, and on that evening, they established Cosmic Aura Tech Industry (CATI) as business partners.

The next day, they successfully presented the Face Recognition system at the college's Gandhigiri technical showcase. Shortly thereafter, in the AICTE Virtual Android Development Internship lab, they pitched the startup vision to Nishkarsh Mishra, who eagerly joined the founding alliance, completing the core trio.

January 2025: The Mumbai Reality Check at IIT Bombay

On 4 January 2025, Shikhar came across an announcement for the IIT Bombay E-Summit 2025. Despite tight student budgets and short notice, the three founders booked urgent train tickets from Kanpur to Mumbai. Arriving on 28 January and attending the summit through 4 February 2025, the trip exposed the trio to national-level founders, pitch dynamics, and institutional startup operations, hardening their resolve to build a serious enterprise.

November 2025: The 5th Placement Rejection & Project Kalesh

On the evening of 13 November 2025, after facing a 5th consecutive campus placement rejection despite extensive technical skills, Shikhar was walking the road outside his home in Kanpur. During a pivotal phone call with his life partner Priya, she challenged him to stop letting corporate placement drives dictate his potential and urged him to pursue CATI full-time alongside his trusted co-founders.

Priya suggested developing an anonymous social platform where young people could express unfiltered thoughts free from social judgment. Shikhar coded overnight and deployed the web prototype Poll-Social on Netlify (kaleshpro1.netlify.app). The following morning in the AICTE Infosys AI/ML lab, Swatantra backed the prototype immediately, while Nishkarsh brought operational rigor, questioning Android engineering and backend scale.

During a follow-up conversation, Priya proposed the name 'Kalesh', observing that authentic anonymity naturally sparks lively debates. Swatantra embraced the name with the rallying slogan 'Chalo Kalesh Karey!', and the founders quickly recruited Sheelu Singh (Flutter Android lead) and Mridul Mishra (Linux backend lead from the CodeVeda club).

April 2026: The Exam Hall Formula & MCA Incorporation

In March 2026, as the team prepared for product rollout, they sought legal counsel on company formation. Upon discovering that the original name CATI was unavailable on the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) database, the founders faced an urgent naming crisis during their mid-semester examination week.

Sitting in the examination hall, Shikhar drafted name combinations on the back of his scrap sheet, arriving at an elegant composite formula:

• DI — Derived from Dixit (Shikhar Dixit, Founder & CEO)
• MI — Derived from Mishra (Nishkarsh Mishra, Co-Founder & COO)
• SI — Derived from Singh (Swatantra Singh, Co-Founder & CTO)
• Result: DIMISI Technologies Private Limited

The MCA database confirmed zero existing conflicts. On 9 April 2026, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs formally issued the Certificate of Incorporation for DIMISI Technologies Private Limited (CIN: U62013UP2026PTC246506), appointing Shikhar Dixit, Nishkarsh Mishra, and Swatantra Singh as statutory Directors.

Headquarters, Client Contracts & The Road Ahead

Following graduation, the founders adapted swiftly. With the blessing of Shikhar's family, the company inaugurated its headquarters in Swarn Jayanti Vihar, Kanpur, mounting the official company board on 17 May 2026. The team was bolstered by passionate junior contributors (Prashant, Amrit, Anushka, Nisha, Vinay) and commercial associate Somya Tiwari.

After intensive cold outreach, the company closed its first commercial contract with Rudra Tours & Travels, followed by two additional client deliveries. On 19 August 2026, the team commenced architecture on DIMISIPEDIA to establish a permanent, verifiable, and transparent public record of their technologies, milestones, and journey.
